Who should attend?
Women’s Self-Defense is perfect for women who want to learn self-defense and build confidence in their ability to protect themselves in an assault scenario.

Who are the instructors?
John is the owner and head instructor at Freeport Martial Arts. He is a Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt with over a decade of experience teaching martial arts and has taught self-defense strategies and tactics to over 100 women.
Summer is our happy and loyal hound. She often sleeps in the window but happily accepts head scratches and belly rubs.
When are the classes?
The Women’s Self-Defense course will be every Tuesday and Thursday from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM from March 3 to April 9. We encourage you to attend as many classes as possible to learn and practice all techniques.
It is not important when you start; it is important that you start.
What should I bring?
Wear workout clothes and bring a water bottle.
Freeport Martial Arts will supply other equipment as required.
What if I have no experience?
It is okay if you have no experience. No experience can be a great thing because it means you don’t have any bad habits. As we like to say, “Just show up.” We will take care of the rest.
Can my kids attend?
Yes! We accept females ages eight and older and males ages eight to 12. Kids must attend with a parent or legal guardian.
